Come out and visit one of the most unique parks in the Rio Grande Valley!

Pedal boat, kayak, or stand up paddleboard on our 3 acre lake! Fishing poles are also available to rent, and bait is available for purchase. Refreshments are also available. See our events postings for seasonal dates, pricing, and operational hours.

Guided public programs include Stand Up Paddleboard Workouts, Learn to Fish Classes, and Family Overnight Campouts. Custom group programs for fishing and camping are also avaiable. See our events tab or call us at 956-681-3333 for more information.

Stocked fish include bass, tilapia, catfish, and bluegill. Fishing is catch and release only, and no cast nets are permitted. A valid Texas fishing license is required for anyone ages 17 and up. Those ages 16 or under may fish without a license.

The park is open from 6 am until 11 pm daily. You may bring your own boat, though it must be non-motorized and hand pulled or hand carried from the parking lot. A life jacket is required and it is boat at your own risk.

All dogs must be leashed. Owners must pick up after their pets.

No swimming or wading is permitted at any time.

Facilities rentals can be made in person at the McAllen Parks & Recreation Headquarters, 1000 S Ware Road. Payment is due in full at the time of the reservation.

Pavilion (Capacity 250) - Residents $250 for 4 hours; Non-Residents $325 for 4 hours. Additional fee per additional hour. ($125 refundable damage deposit applies to both R and NR.)

Pumphouse (Capacity 100) - Residents $350 for 4 hours; Non-Residents $450 for 4 hours. ($175 refundable damage deposit applies to both R and NR.)
