Description:

Join a staff naturalist for a walk on the trails and through the native plant gardens, exploring the benefits of native plants. The walk will be tailored to the participants’ interests in edible plants, backyard gardening, wildscaping, and more.

Native plants are adapted to our climate, soil ecology, and seasons of drought! Native plants are also much more beneficial to our wildlife, including many being host plants (food) for caterpillars of the butterflies that many of us enjoy. Native plants provide beneficial food and cover to many species of birds as well.

Admission is $1/person suggested donation and public programs are free of charge unless otherwise noted.
