Experience nature while learning the basics of kayaking in our resaca!

Kayaking is a fun way to recreate while experiencing nature! Learn basic kayaking maneuvers in our new kayaks all while exploring the wildlife in our very own Resaca. We will be kayaking a comfortable distance of 1-mile round trip, while taking into account group capabilities and wind speeds.

Be at the park headquarters by 8:30 am to catch the daily tram to the Resaca where we will sign waivers and get you ready to kayak!

Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE 18 & under.

Bring:  Sunscreen, hat, water, sunglasses, snack

Provided: Kayaks, paddle, personal floatation device

Program requirements:

• All participants MUST wear closed toed shoes.
• No participants under the age of 10.
• All participants MUST be able to swim.
• All participants under the age of 18 must have a responsible adult accompanying them.

We have 2 tandem kayaks and 4 singles for a total of 8 slots. Space is limited, sign up is required:  Email  Angela.Rojas@tpwd.texas.gov with any questions about the program.
