Geocaching is a new-age scavenger hunt! Geocaches are small, enclose capsules hidden in strange places, that are located with a smartphone or handheald GPS. Some geocaches can be as small as a thimble, and others as big as a lunchbox!

All you need is a smartphone (and to download the app) in order to find geocaches around the RGV, around the country, and around the world! The device will take you close to the cache, but then it's searching with the eyes from there! It is a fun way to get the whole family outdoors, no matter where you are.

In the event of rain or extreme temperatures, the program will be cancelled and the site will be closed.
